Saputo’s Dividend is so Consistent

SAP Div History v1

Ticker: SAP  |  Market: TSX  |  Price: $41.01  |  Yield: 1.51%  |  Cap: $15.9B

Saputo, a Canadian dairy producer, is a household name in Canada, largely due to their widely sold and consumed cheese and milk products. What might not be as obvious to Canadians is just how consistent their dividend has been. Per the above graph, Saputo has been growing their dividend at a compounded 11% annually since 2007, but in fact, they have been paying and hiking their dividend each year for far longer than that! Further, as their dividend has increased, their payout ratio has remained consistent at around 30%, a fantastic performance which should be noted by long-term investors everywhere! I of course own this one, and no, I am not interested in selling any time soon.
